Our Lenten Outreach Campaign begins next week. If you're wondering what we'll be doing, here are two clues: "building blocks" and "Holy Trinity."

More next week, right here!

Contemporary music comes to the 10:15 service today! We welcome special guest musician Sandi Haynes joining Jeri Kellan to lead our worship music.

The Jesus Was an Episcopalian study continues to meet on Sunday mornings at 9:15 a.m.

On Tuesday February 21, we celebrate Shrove Tuesday/Mardi Gras with a pancake supper between 5:30-7:30 p.m.  Enjoy breakfast for dinner as we prepare for the fasting in Lent.  We'll burn the palms for Ash Wednesday between 6 and 6:30, always festive and exciting moment at a popular family event!

Ash Wednesday is February 22:  Join Pastor Emily at the Lombard Metra Station during the morning commute to offer our (now famous!) "Ashes to Go."  If you would like to participate in offering ashes or greeting commuters, please let Pastor Emily know! Holy Eucharist with Imposition of Ashes will be offered at Calvary at 9:30 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Lenten Retreat February 25, 9 AM to 3 PM. Everyone welcome! Come join the Calvary Daughters of the King as we host a retreat day to study "Acts".  We will watch a wonderful movie depicting the Book of Acts, lunch included, followed by discussion.  There is no fee, but a free will offering will be accepted toward DOK scholarship funds. BYOB (bring your own Bible!)  RSVP to Mary Hanahan at 630-627-4676.

Stations of the Cross every Thursday at 7 PM, beginning February 23.  A reflective half-hour prayer service following the story of Jesus' Passion.

Lenten Wednesdays, beginning February 29:  "First Light" Joint series with First Church, every Wednesday at 10 am. A series of videos featuring biblical scholars Marcus Borg and Dominic Crossan, studying the Holy Land, and the background of Jesus' life, ministry, death and resurrection.  We'll meet at First Church for the first 3 weeks, then at Calvary.

"Soup and Study: Prayer Practices" Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m., 2/29 – 3/28 in the Parish Hall.  Gather for a simple supper of soup and bread, and explore new ways to enrich your spiritual life, by learning about and practicing prayer forms from prayer beads to prayer books, contemplation to praying with friends.  Saturday Labyrinth walk field-trip (date TBA).

Today is the last Sunday for the Winter Warmth Drive!  We will accept donations of new, unworn gloves, hats, scarves and socks for men, women and children at PADS.   Please put them in the donation basket in the back of the church.
