Spark is a Sunday school faith formation program designed to activate faith in children ages 2 through grade 6. It's innovative, intuitive and designed to ease the burden of planning and teacher preparation for Christian Education Directors and Sunday school teachers.

Spark is the only Sunday school program that offers three curriculum model options, including Classroom, Lectionary, and Rotation, that can be customized to seamlessly integrate with your church's existing program. Bible-centered, it encourages kids to open the Scriptures and explore God's Word through a variety of age-appropriate activities designed to accommodate all of the different ways children learn.

 

The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd – Level 1

 

“The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is an approach to the religious formation of children. It is rooted in the Bible, the liturgy of the church and the educational principles of Maria Montessori.”  The Level 1Catechesis program in place here at Calvary is for our pre-school (ages 3&4) through Kindergarten.  The children gather in the “Atrium” where students learn about our church service and our biblical faith story by “working” with hand-made materials.  This hands-on method is a way for our little ones to not only learn but, express themselves and their love for God
