Part 1, "Spiritual Autobiography Told Through the Lens of Race," led by Maureen O'Connor.
Jesus said, "Let those who have eyes to see, see." Let us "begin seeing. Be open to knowing what things happen or don't happen because you are white. It will feel awkward, disruptive, and disorienting - until you stop feeling that way. Only then will you begin to understand what people of color have endured their whole lives: an experience of living in a cesspool of racial overtones that diminish their capacity to pursue fully their pathways to happy and fulfilling lives." This has been described as "the work of justice" and "the work of spiritual healing" that promises to bridge the racial divide in our communities and nation that is so evident these days.
